saturday afternoon

just a typical saturday at home this winter. daddy putting the little man in his snow clothes to go play in the 1/4 inch of snow in the backyard.

first we have to eat lunch. which usually consists of one of us shoving food in the peanut's mouth cause he couldn't be less interested in eating most the time.

coat change, hat change, then out to the snow.

done with the sled. next.

k dad. all done.

please note: although charlie's facial expressions appear to be less than enthusiastic, this is in fact him being excited.

cooking class

in an ongoing attempt to become more domestic, we decided a cooking class would be in order. brooke made the arrangements and asked her friend kayle, the chef, to come and teach us some things.

very serious students.

we learned how to make pork and tomatillo stew with beans and green rice, and homemade banana ice cream with chocolate shavings and churros.

delicious. delicious. DE-LIC-IOUS.

now i'm a chef too. 1 step closer to domestication.
